Chemotherapy feared because women do not want to look bad change, such as the risk of hair loss. The researchers said, those who regularly enjoy a hot drink far less likely to develop estrogen receptor negative breast cancer, especially if they drank five or more cups of coffee a day.In the study, experts from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm found coffee drinkers had a lower incidence of breast cancer than women who rarely drink. They analyzed data from nearly 6,000 women past menopause.
The women who drank five cups or more a day had decreased levels of 57% risk of breast cancer than those who drank less than one cup a day.Based on a report in the journal Breast Cancer Research, the scientists concluded that the high level of coffee intake per day was associated with a statistically significant reduction in breast cancer is estrogen-receptor negative among post-menopausal women.
As reported by dailymail , the authors also found a slightly reduced risk in all types of breast cancer. Although the correlation was significant enough to consider a number of other factors such as age and weight that must be taken into account. The researchers speculate that coffee contains compounds that affect various types of breast cancer in a different way. This fits in with the finding that drinking coffee may reduce breast cancer risk overall, although experts say further studies are still needed.
